My recent sculpture focuses on the figure, with themes of meditation and spirituality. My Catholic upbringing surrounded me with statues, stained glass windows and paintings full of saints and religious figures. I studied Eastern religions as an adult, I am a mother, I feed the birds, I live on a pretty little pond alive with turtles and fish and rustling trees. I collect tiny lead figures and love to paint and sculpt large versions of them. There are even a few cups here, as I am learning to make functional ware and I love a nice cup of coffee on the porch overlooking the pond.
